My sister informed me that new residents of the mansion are expected to introduce themselves on this journal system. Greetings to all, I am Medusalith Amaquelin of Attilan, but most people call me Medusa. And, fitting enough, my power has to do with control of my hair. That is what occurs when a mutant with the gift of precognition tells your parents what your abilities will be prior to your birth.

I will be attending Columbia University in the fall, which I have just realized means that courses begin this Tuesday. Are there any other individuals who live here that will be attending Columbia?

Crystal has told me a lot about Xavier's and all the residents, so I am curious to see how her descriptions will match up with my experiences.

I suppose I thought of them because they are hard to get out of their shell and they come from ornamental plants, just as I come from an ornamental palace.

And why are you a pistachio?

because pistachio are green - which is an odd color for a nut. and I am purple, which is an odd color for a person.

and pistachios are yummy, like me! but please, do not eat the Clarice.

no one has ever asked you a random question before just for fun, have they?

No, I cannot say that I have ever been asked a silly question just for fun. Do you ask such questions often?

I think that's sad. you need more silly fun in your life, I think. You are very reserved...like your sister. This is not a bad thing, but I can see why you think we are all nuts! 'cause really, we are all different kinds of nuts. but nuts are yummy and full of protien!

I ask silly questions all the time! you'd be amazed at what you can learn about a person by asking randomly silly questions! besides, there are no such things as stupid questions except for questions that are never asked.

Your train of thought is truly dizzying. We have lead a very different life than most people here and have had responsibilities that you may not realize. We have had to be, or perhaps chose to be, adult-like for as long as possible in the world in which we were raised. However, a little silliness is not a bad thing and it is interesting to see it.

Being adult-like all the time can have unwanted side-effects. Losing a confidant or friend or loved one because all you ever are is serious and responsible is heartbreaking.

Is it really breakfast if it is at midnight when I finally get my messages?

Breakfast on Tuesday, perhaps?

If you're working until midnight on a Sunday, I'm going to have to have words with you, mate.

Yeah, Tuesday works. My treat, even - you've never had my proper fry-up English breakfast, have you?

I was not working on work. I was putting my new bed together.

No, I have not. I suppose hiding under the table is not going to save me from it?

You're still working on your place? Bloody hell. Let me know if you need a hand, yeah?

Nope. It's good for you - the British Empire can't be wrong. ;)

The Irish lass begs to disagree. Brits are crazy.

Just not about breakfast.

We prefer the term 'balmy'. *grins*

I think I'll leave out the black pudding, tho'. Marie-Ange has been living on bird seed and fruit by the looks and I don't want her to pass out from shock. Or cholesterol poisoning.

my train of thought derailed a loooong time ago!

I wanted to be an adult once, but then I was and I realized it was much better to not be most of the time. there are moments though, when there is no other option.
