Greetings

My sister informed me that new residents of the mansion are expected to introduce themselves on this journal system. Greetings to all, I am Medusalith Amaquelin of Attilan, but most people call me Medusa. And, fitting enough, my power has to do with control of my hair. That is what occurs when a mutant with the gift of precognition tells your parents what your abilities will be prior to your birth.

I will be attending Columbia University in the fall, which I have just realized means that courses begin this Tuesday. Are there any other individuals who live here that will be attending Columbia?

Crystal has told me a lot about Xavier's and all the residents, so I am curious to see how her descriptions will match up with my experiences.

Is your local precognitive always that accurate? That is quite an esoteric prediction to make. I presume that you do not have snakes for hair, but just simply control of it?

And I have almost forgotten an introduction. I am Marie-Ange Colbert, and I am the local precognitive. I am no longer a student in residence, however, as I graduated.. but I would be.. I believe someone, perhaps Forge put it as "The spooky French chick with more clothes than sanity."

Pleased to meet you Marie-Ange. Is it correct to say "meet" over a system such as this? It is a very odd way to meet people, though I can appreciate the convenience factor.

Indeed, I do not have snakes for hair, just control over it's length, durability and motion. As for the local precognitive, it is more that he has a particular knack for predictions regarding pregnancies. He has never to my knowledge been incorrect about the gender of a child; however, he does not accurately predict much else. Though it would have been funny if his prediction had been inaccurate and I ended up have control over air or fire instead.

I think Kitty was our sole Columbia student and she was offered a transfer out to California about a month back.

I am reserving judgment over this place and the people in it for now. Devil or imp, I do not think it is ever appropriate for a teacher to lash out at a student, especially one who is new and adjusting to the customs of a foreign land.

I am not superstitious, though I will try to refrain from saying such things around others, as I suppose it could make them uncomfortable. As for strange things...well, I am no stranger to odd occurrences.

Perhaps she did not feel your apology held true remorse. I cannot say that I know the thoughts that run through my sister's mind, but she is generally a kind and caring individual and holding a grudge does not sound like her. However, what is the saying? I believe it goes something like "First impressions are lasting."

I'm sure she is, most people are, I think. It's a fairly normal teenage thing to hold grudges, I don't expect her to be an adult. Heck, it would be a strange high school experience if you didn't have at least one teacher who you thought came from a hell dimension.

And you're right they are, particularly if you already made up your mind that you're above everyone you meet. Everyone likes to be proven right and changing your mind requires so much effort.

I find it ironic that you are attempting to lecture me on this topic when it is obvious that you have your mind up about me, just as you had your mind up about Crystal, based on our upbringing. I did not choose to be born into a royal family, just as you did not choose to be born into your family. I try to keep an open mind whenever I meet new people, but in this circumstance, I will put forth the effort when you are willing to do the same.

County Mayo originally but I grew up all over the country. My uncle kept us moving. These days Cassidy Keep is home though. It's the most beautiful country on earth--of course, I'm biased.

We used to have a theory about mutations being linked to the red hair but I think it's really just coincidence. ;)
