I discovered yesterday that professors do not take kindly to extended absences from classes, even when one completes all the work assigned and has been performing at a higher level than one's classmates since the start of the term. Apparently, the lecture where the professor drones on about the topic in a repetitive and boring fashion is a vital component of the college experience and one that should not be missed, no matter the important events taking place elsewhere in the world. Wanda, any chance you will be substituting again in the near future? Or perhaps I should schedule an opportunity to discuss languages with the young man you were telling me about before I decide to lower my standards to those imposed in my class.

Also, I realize I never properly thanked either Terry or Kurt for submitting my midterm project. Please let me know when you are free for dinner.

Due to some rather interesting events, I have found myself in the possession of quite a few pairs of shoes in various sizes. The brands and styles vary greatly and if anybody would like to look them over and take them, please let me know. Otherwise, I will donate them to charity at the end of the week.

My sister informed me that new residents of the mansion are expected to introduce themselves on this journal system. Greetings to all, I am Medusalith Amaquelin of Attilan, but most people call me Medusa. And, fitting enough, my power has to do with control of my hair. That is what occurs when a mutant with the gift of precognition tells your parents what your abilities will be prior to your birth.

I will be attending Columbia University in the fall, which I have just realized means that courses begin this Tuesday. Are there any other individuals who live here that will be attending Columbia?

Crystal has told me a lot about Xavier's and all the residents, so I am curious to see how her descriptions will match up with my experiences.
